we’re offering e-design services!
Since we are socially distancing (#thankscoronavirus π) Seriously Happy Homes is offering virtual interior design services!
How’s it work?
1) This is mainly for “soft-goods” rooms.
That means bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms… basically just no kitchen, bath, or other remodels.
(We *can* do kitchen and bath design virtually, but we’ll have to chat with you first to determine the scope and design fee. Just email us and let us know you are interested in a virtual kitchen or bath design. π)
2) You’ll take (and send us) your own measurements.Β
You’ll need to send us a layout sketch that shows:
-
- Room dimensions
- Ceiling heights
- Locations of doors and windows
- Locations of things like heaters, outlets, thermostats… anything that might affect the design plan
Here’s an 8 minute video where Rebecca shares what needs to be included in the sketch, and here’s a 15 minute how-to video where she’s measuring a room in real time:
3) You’ll send us pics of your room.
The 8-minute video about covers that too – basically we need pics of all angles of the room, with some extra shots that show us existing light fixtures, heat registers, thermostat locations, and of course any furniture you want included in the design. The more pics, the better!
4) You’ll share your ideabooks with us.
You’ll use Houzz or Pinterest to send us a collection of rooms that inspire what you would love to come home to. (That’s the fun part, and it’s something we ask our in-person clients to do to, not just our virtual interior design service clients!) Here’s a video where I’ll talk you through how to create and share your ideabook.
5) then We design for you!
We’ll create and share two curated designs that shop retail stores (we don’t like making money off commissions, so we always source places you can buy from yourself). It’ll be places like Crate and Barrel, Room and Board, Ballard Designs, as well as places like Overstock, Wayfair, Target, and Amazon. It’s our job to make the design process efficient, saving you hours of hunting down the right lamp and the stress of worrying whether the sofa and rug will go together. And yes, the process includes two rounds of revisions to nail down just the right look for your home. π
π
That’s it!
Then you shop, execute, and send us pics so we can pop the virtual champagne with you! Woo hoo! πΎ
Want in? Just shoot us an email telling us what room you want us to design, what budget we need to stay within, and a link to a collection of ten rooms that inspire you. Let’s get this virtual party started! π
π
Wait! Want to know what the designs will cost? Well, normally it depends on the scope of the project, but to keep things simple, we’re going with the law of averages:
Bedroom DESign: $1890
πΒ
Dining Room Design: $1750
πΒ
Living Room Design: $2215

HI, I'M REBECCA WEST!
Iβm an interior designer, author, podcaster, speaker, and coach to other designers. (Whew!) But Iβm not your classic interior designer because, frankly, I donβt care if you buy a new sofa. I do care if your home supports your goals and feels like βyou.β Remember, happy starts at home!
