It’s the most wonderful time of the year! If you’re like me, you believe that it’s perfectly acceptable to have your tree up and start listening to Christmas music as early as November 1st. That also means making that List. I’m here to share some of my favorite things I found this year to help inspire you as you shop for those special people on your list. Enjoy this holiday gift guide!
The Gift of Quality Time
Making memories is the best part of the holidays. Your little one may never remember the Lego set they received but they will remember decorating the tree or baking cookies together. And true to form, this year I am planning the gift of quality time! Last year I gifted my nieces and nephews a family trip to WildLights at Woodland Park Zoo, complete with hot cocoa and a carousel ride, but this year they have something new and exciting! WildLanterns is the Zoo’s brand-new lantern festival that will take the place of their normal light display. I will be sending the kiddos a DIY coupon redeemable for the night and sprinkle in some other fun goodies (and what kid doesn’t like receiving fun mail?!).
For Cooks of all Ages
There is no better time than the holidays to get in the kitchen and bake cookies! And for that special person (in this case, my daughter who loves helping out) I decided it’s time she have her very own personalized apron and oven mitts! You can even match your tiny human and get the adult version! I just loved the reindeer but there are so many other adorable prints to choose from!
For the Host
If you have a friend looking forward to hosting and entertaining once we’re back to more “normal” times, look no further than a personalized cheese board. The acacia wood inlay accents and warms up the marble creating a simply elegant look!
Something Nostalgic
Raise your hand if you one of these as a kid?! (OK, I just admitted my age but they did have some of the best toys when I was a kid.) I recently came across one of these reel viewers but unlike the ones we had as kids, you can add *your own photos!!!* How fun would it be to send a reel from your 2020 wedding, the birth of a child, or your new Covid puppy! So FUN!
For Tiny Humans
In this household, I have one tiny human and a handful of nieces and nephews to buy for. So I rounded up a few items that I’ve had my eye on. These name crayons, this adorable (and unbreakable) mug, and this Solar System Sidewalk Chalk. Perfect gifts for that little person or stocking stuffers!
For the Green Thumb
I have a few people in my life that love their plants and this engraved planter makes the perfect gift! Take it up a notch and throw in some stakes or a pretty plant!
A Treasured Keepsake
This family cookbook is the perfect place to gather all of those delicious heirloom recipes. This is a great gift you can give to almost anyone!
A Memory to Build Together
Why not build memories together with a Family Snow Day Personalized Puzzle?! Showcase your family in a magical winter wonderland (or maybe you prefer the summer version). Either way, this is a great way to gather around together, especially in a year where you may be spending extra time at home together.
Showcase That Special Trip
Want to remember the good ol’ days when we could take vacations? Well, now those memories can have a permanent place on your coffee table with Custom Travel Photo Coasters.
Four-Legged Friends
Your pet probably won’t notice if they don’t get something under the tree, but it’s the perfect time to show them a little extra love. Fill a storage basket with a few of their favorite things and I bet you’ll get some serious tail wagging or purring. This is an especially purr-fect gift for folks that got a new furry family member during Covid.
Tis’ the season of gift-giving, so I hope that you enjoyed this gift guide and found it to be helpful! If you want even MORE ideas, check out our gift guides from 2019, and 2018! As always, and most importantly, it’s not about the amount of money you spend but about the thought that goes into what you give.
Have a holly, jolly, very merry everything season!
HI, I'M REBECCA WEST!
I’m an interior designer, author, podcaster, speaker, and coach to other designers. (Whew!) But I’m not your classic interior designer because, frankly, I don’t care if you buy a new sofa. I do care if your home supports your goals and feels like “you.” Remember, happy starts at home!
